Meet Anna & Eric

Hi, we’re Anna and Eric the founders of Anna Helps Seniors. Our personal experiences with helping our senior parents as they entered their golden years taught us valuable life lessons about what to do and, honestly, what NOT to do! While we fumbled our way through managing senior care and end-of-life decisions with some success, those experiences are what prompted us to start Anna Helps Seniors and why we have such a heart for helping seniors and their families plan ahead, especially when it comes to the decision about whether to stay in their current home or to consider a move to a senior living community.

In many cases, we find that an emergency is what forces families to act, and they find themselves scrambling to make decisions. This crisis mode can cause a great deal of stress and navigating the senior care system can be overwhelming, if not downright confusing!

Our goal is to provide connections to resources that will help you make the most informed decision for your unique situation. We’ve designed this site, Anna Helps Seniors, to provide some objective information on a variety of topics—finding and selecting a senior living community, paying for long-term care, managing health and safety, and more.

Our aim with the site is to encourage elderly adults and their families to become more knowledgeable about key issues, which will hopefully provide more peace of mind, so they can prioritize their relationships rather than worry about the unknowns of the future.

To equip ourselves with the right tools we became Senior Transition Specialists, which requires comprehensive training on how to connect seniors and their adult children to resources that can assist with the often-overwhelming process of evaluating whether to stay in their current home or consider a move to a senior living community. Our personal experiences with our own parents have given us deeper insight and compassion when it comes to the complexities and stress involved with a move into senior living and other life transitions.
